The state-mandated recount in Colorado’s 3rd Congressional District resulted in no significant change to the final November 8 tallies in Pueblo County. Adam Frisch (D-Aspen) picked up four additional votes and incumbent Lauren Boebert (R-Silt) picked up two additional votes. Representative Boebert remains the winner in Pueblo County.
Other counties in CD-3 have until December 13th to finish their recount.
Under Colorado law Secretary of State Jena Griswold issued a recount order on Dec. 1st in the U.S. Congressional 3rd District race between incumbent Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Silt) and challenger Adam Frisch (D-Aspen).
State law requires a recount if the margin of victory is less than 0.5% of the winner’s vote. Ms. Boebert lead by 550 votes after the count had been tallied November 17th. She needed to have won by at least 820 votes to avoid the required recount. Clerks in CD3 will have until Dec. 13th to complete the recount.
