To promote education and active citizen involvement in politics.
It is our belief that most of the corrupting influences in American Politics could be erased and government made more responsive by one basic improvement. That is, simply for more good citizens to participate in politics. "We get the government we deserve, not the one we wish for," remains a guide-star for a free people. We offer a meaningful movement of political clubs as the most practical means by which a broad citizen participation in politics may be achieved.
Join us for our Bi-Weekly Lunch meetings at CaT's Pourhouse, 147 Tiffany Dr., Pueblo West, CO. We look forward to meeting again this coming Friday, June 16th. You can check in around 11:15 AM, with a buffet lunch at 11:30.
Friday, August 18, 2023, Pueblo Pachyderms will host Greg Lopez, President and CEO of Colorado Hispanic Republicans.
The mission of CHR is,
“To empower, educate and energize the Hispanic American communities to vote their Faith, Family and Freedom values…and…To improve the image of what being conservative means and promote a worldview that appeals to Hispanic voters.”
At the start of the 2022 election cycle, Greg sought election to be Governor of Colorado. Even though he did not win the primary election, Mr. Lopez supported Republican candidates throughout the campaign season.
Greg and his wife, Lisa, have lived in Colorado since 1988 and have two grown children.
Greg grew up in Irving, TX, with four siblings, the son of migrant farm workers. His parents taught their children two important values: compassion and integrity.
He is a 3rd generation Hispanic American. Greg is also a disabled USAF veteran, having served as a weapons specialist. After leaving the military, he became a financial planner and helped individuals plan for their financial future.
At 27, Greg was elected Mayor of Parker, Colorado, in Douglas County. Greg’s victory made him the youngest sitting Mayor in the State of Colorado and one of only two strong Mayors at that time.
After leaving office, he started a consulting business and served as President of various Boards and Councils advocating for minority-owned and small businesses. Greg eventually became the Colorado District Director for the United States Small Business Administration, the highest Federal position in the State representing small businesses.
Pueblo Pachyderms is pleased to host Mr. Lopez as our speaker on the 18th. We believe he will be an exceptional and engaging speaker as he presents ideas on uniting conservative voters regardless of ethnicity to win elections.
Join us at our August 18th luncheon at CaT's Pourhouse in Pueblo West and get acquainted with Greg Lopez as Colorado Conservatives unite to win our elections.
