In Memory of Pueblo Pachyderm Treasurer, Ron Wahlmeier, 8/22/41~1/20/26

William Ronald Wahlmeier, 84, passed away peacefully on January 20, 2026. He was born August 22, 1941, in Denver, Colorado, to the late George and Lois (McIntyre) Wahlmeier.

A 1959 graduate of Central High School, Pueblo, Colorado. Ron married his sweetheart Pearl Irene Reynolds in 1964.

He received his master’s degree in Hospital Administration and spent his career as a Lab Manager.

The Pachyderm Club movement is one of the most practical means by which broad citizen participation in politics may be achieved
Pachyderm clubs are controlled locally, yet operate within an established standard framework
Pachyderm clubs meet regularly either weekly, bi-monthly or monthly and provide continuity for Republican volunteers and activists

Pachyderm Preamble

It is our belief that most of the corrupting influences in American Politics could be erased and government made more responsive by one basic improvement. That is, simply for more good citizens to participate in politics. "We get the government we deserve, not the one we wish for," remains a guide-star for a free people. We offer a meaningful movement of political clubs as the most practical means by which a broad citizen participation in politics may be achieved.

Pueblo Pachyderm Bi-Weekly Luncheon May 1st, 2026

Join us on May 1st at Cat's Pourhouse, 147 S. Tiffany Dr. in Pueblo West, and bring a friend.

This week we have two Pueblo candidates sharing the microphone at the Pachyderm luncheon.

Zach Swearingen is running for reelection as County Commissioner.

Zach is a Pueblo native, having been born and raised in Pueblo County. He attended Centennial HS and graduated from CSU-Pueblo. Following graduation, Zach enlisted in the US Navy and completed Navy SEAL training.

He was elected to the Board of County Commissioners in 2022, and has focused on practical leadership, responsible government, and delivering results that matter to Pueblo County families.

Greg Grahek became the Interim Pueblo County Coroner in 2025 and is running for election for his first full term as the County Coroner.

Greg has 19 years of direct medical experience and 15 years in leadership. He has already brought steady, clinical expertise and calm, ethical decision-making to the Coroner’s Office.

Dr. Grahek has worked in high-stakes situations where facts matter, families need clarity, and professionals must lead with empathy and discipline. He is experienced in multi-level leadership and professionalism, leading from the front.

His campaign is built on a simple, but vital plan to tell the truth, protect public trust, and treat every person with dignity.

Greg Grahek and Zach Swearingen have agreed to divide their time at our lunch to give Pueblo Pachyderms the best opportunity to hear from our strong county candidates.

Join us for our lunch meeting on May 1st at CaT's Pourhouse, 147 Tiffany Dr., Pueblo West, CO.

You can check in around 11:15 AM, with a buffet lunch at 11:30. Lunch costs $16, but if you want to hear the speaker, you are welcome to join us without lunch. At 11:30 a.m., we begin with an opening prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance, followed by club announcements, and then proceed with lunch.
