To promote education and active citizen involvement in politics.
It is our belief that most of the corrupting influences in American Politics could be erased and government made more responsive by one basic improvement. That is, simply for more good citizens to participate in politics. "We get the government we deserve, not the one we wish for," remains a guide-star for a free people. We offer a meaningful movement of political clubs as the most practical means by which a broad citizen participation in politics may be achieved.
Join us on November 15th at Cat's Pourhouse, 147 S. Tiffany Dr. in Pueblo West, as we welcome Tamra Axworthy, Chief Executive Officer of Pueblo's A Caring Pregnancy Center to the Pueblo Pachyderm Club.
Originally from North Carolina, Tamra has lived in Pueblo since 2003. She is married to Brian Axworthy, who is the Executive Chef for District 70 Food and Nutrition Services in Pueblo, and a member of the Pueblo West Board of Directors. Tamra and Brian have two sons, Kaleb, and Isaac.
Before joining “A CARING PREGNANCY CENTER,” Tamra worked for ten years in Higher Education at PCC and CSU-Pueblo. She took on many leadership roles and sat as a representative on many university leadership teams and boards.
Tamra is also a graduate of the Pueblo Leadership Program, an El Pomar participant, a Forging Pueblo Board member, a PERA Ambassador, the President of the Southern Colorado Spay and Neuter Clinic, Colorado Community Corrections Board member, and a student organization adviser for the Pueblo Students for Life. Some of the other activities Tamra participates in also include membership in Pueblo Rotary #43, and volunteering at her church.
Tamra joined the ACPC FAMILY in 2014 and now serves as the Chief Executive Officer. In her ten years at ACPC, she has since earned several certifications and serves on the President's Advisory Council. Tamra says that everything in her background from her formative years, military experience, education, work history, faith, and areas of passion have all led her to this ministry.
A CARING PREGNANCY CENTER celebrated 40 years of caring for moms and their unborn babies in 2024. Tamra is proud of the growth she’s witnessed during her time there and is excited about what the future holds for the organization.
