To promote education and active citizen involvement in politics.
It is our belief that most of the corrupting influences in American Politics could be erased and government made more responsive by one basic improvement. That is, simply for more good citizens to participate in politics. "We get the government we deserve, not the one we wish for," remains a guide-star for a free people. We offer a meaningful movement of political clubs as the most practical means by which a broad citizen participation in politics may be achieved.
Join us on November 21st at Cat's Pourhouse, 147 S. Tiffany Dr. in Pueblo West, and bring a friend, as we welcome Kevin Grantham, Candidate for Colorado State Treasurer, to the Pueblo Pachyderm Club.
This will be our last Friday luncheon for 2025. With mid-term elections next year, we are looking forward to an exciting slate of lunch meetings.
Kevin Grantham lives in Cañon City with his wife and family, and is currently a County Commissioner in Fremont County, where he has served since 2021. He was raised on a hog farm in Ordway, CO, so he knows how to cut both fat and pork. It may be his father, who was the chair of the Crowley County Republican Party, who gave Kevin his first exposure to politics. Professionally, he has been a real estate assessor by trade since 1998.
Kevin also served as a state Senator for eight years. Some of the committees on which he served were the Appropriations, Finance, and Joint Budget Committees, highlighting his financial bona fides. From 2017 to 2018, Kevin was the President of the Colorado Senate.
Did YOU know - the State Treasurer’s office has doubled from 32 FTE to 62 FTE in six years under Democrat control? By comparison, under the previous Republican treasurer, the office grew from 31 to 32 FTE in eight years.
Kevin will bring fiscal responsibility to the Treasurer’s office and other common-sense practices. Check out his website at kevingrantham.com
for more information.
